#SILKSCREEN SEATTLE SOFTWARE#
In this 6-week course, you will learn the basics of the professional audio production software Reaper by working collaboratively with other students and the instructor to make original compositions. Poster design is one of the magical places where visual and performing arts join forces and Maxx can't wait to show you how. She's created marketing materials for dozens of bands and events over the years, at dozens of venues in Seattle. All class materials take place on Google Classroom and Zoom.Ībout the Instructor: Maxx has been creating concert posters since she was 16, booking bands in her parents' garage. Technology required: Access to graphic design software (recommended ProCreate or Photoshop), a computer or phone with internet access. January 6 - 27th (Wednesdays), 6 - 7:30 pm.Maxx will walk you through the basics of graphic design and how to apply them to marketing for the entertainment and performing arts industry. You'll learn how to use text, collage and your own art to design compositions. In this four-week class, learn how to create eye-catching posters and marketing images for performances with artist Maxx Follis-Goodkind. Please include photos so we may determine if a replacement is necessary.

#SILKSCREEN SEATTLE PORTABLE#
This comes in a small and portable zipper pouch. The kit includes a 4 inch wooden hoop, nine different colors of floss, foldable portable scissors, self-threading and regular embroidery needles, an 11” x 12” piece of fabric, on which a small design will be printed to use for stitch practice, and a physical copy of the Basic Embroidery for DIY Merch zine. You can purchase an embroidery supply kit by selecting the “Embroidery Kit” option upon checkout. Optional: fusible interfacing, washable fabric marker. To participate in this class, you will need: microphone, web camera (what comes with a phone or laptop fine), 4in embroidery hoop, embroidery needles, floss(thread), scissors, fabric. You must have or create a personal Google Account to be able to access the class website. In the end students will have embroidered pieces for themselves or to share with their communities.Ĭlass materials are hosted on Google Classrooms website and video meetings are conducted on Google Meet.

Assignments will challenge students to imagine different kinds of merch, the various applications and possibilities with the medium of needlework. Starts with the fundamentals of embroidery which will set the foundation for any needlework project. The 3-week workshop blends group discussions, instructor presentations and own time activities in and outside of class with the opportunity to share progress.
